We are happy to have our friend Wayne as a performer at the "Spring Planting Festival". Dan Sullivan is former senior editor of Organic Gardening magazine and now holds the same post at the Rodale Institute's www.NewFarm.org. Dan has an extensive vegetable garden and grows garlic for market. He will talk about the NewFarm e-zine (a wonderful resource for organic growers) and how Rodale research can be applied to your own home garden, market garden or farm.
Jessica Walliser is the co-host of the popular radio program "The Organic Gardeners," a well-known garden writer and newspaper columnist, co-author of Grow Organic and author of newly released Good Bug, Bad Bug: Who's Who, What They Do, and How to Manage Them Organically. They produce rare bedding plants, vegetables, flowers and herbs for both culinary and medicinal purposes. Jim Long is co-owner of Long Creek Herbs, author of over 2 dozen books on herbs and gardening, and now a Regional Director of the Garden Writer's Association of America. He can be seen on several Discovery Channel and HGTV programs, as well as the P. Allen Smith Gardens show. Additionally, our longtime friend makes time to write his Heirloom Herbalist column for each issue of the Heirloom Gardener magazine. Jim will be talking about herbs and interesting ways to use them. Last year's Festival attracted 50 musicians from many different states! Our festival has become a premier event for historic culture and music. You're going to love the Western, Folk, Country, Gospel, Americana, Irish, and Bluegrass music. At this festival the music abounds everywhere with 2-3 stages playing most of both days. Enjoy some of Branson, Missouri's finest talent, and you are invited to bring your traditional instruments and join the fun! National Folk Music Contest (Sunday) Free for any and all old-fashioned musicians, solo acts or groups. Bring your instrument or voice and win big prizes! Judging will be done by the audience. (Some restrictions apply; not open to our contracted musicians)

The Festival is held at our village and farm, near Mansfield, MO. Come to Mansfi eld and follow signs. We offer free tent and RV camping; no need to register. There are also hotels in the local area. Some food is available at the festival. Admission: $4.00 per person, pay at the event. Children 14 and under are free. All pets over 20 lbs must be pre-approved. No Weapons. Vendors are welcome!
